In March 2008, with the confirmation of the Afghan Ministry of Education, construction of a new building began in April 2008 at Mahmud Tarzi High School. This new facility included 12 classrooms, a laboratory, and a library. The building officially opened in November 2009. In 2018, the Ministry of Education decided to rename the building “Sardar Omar Tarzi” and honored it with a plaque, which was placed at the entrance of the new building in May 2018.

در ماه مارچ سال ۲۰۰۸، با تأیید وزارت معارف افغانستان، کار اعمار یک ساختمان جدید در لیسه محمود طرزی در ماه اپریل ۲۰۰۸ آغاز گردید. این تعمیر جدید شامل ۱۲ صنف درسی، یک لابراتوار و یک کتابخانه می‌باشد. ساختمان به طور رسمی در ماه نوامبر سال ۲۰۰۹ افتتاح شد. در سال ۲۰۱۸، وزارت معارف تصمیم گرفت که این ساختمان را به نام “سردار عمر طرزی” مسمی نماید و لوحه‌ای به همین مناسبت تهیه و در ماه می ۲۰۱۸ در ورودی این ساختمان نصب گردید
